Experiential Prayer for Church Planters

In the midst of worship and dynamic workshops at the National Church Planters Gathering in Orlando, Florida, The Upper Room Living Prayer Center provides attendees quiet space to reflect and tune in to what God is hoping to convey to them through this conference.

Hundreds of United Methodist Church leaders are taking part in the gathering hosted by Path 1. The purpose is to provide opportunities and spaces for church planters to get renewed, inspired, and fired up about the upcoming season for planting churches.

As a space for purposeful contemplation, The Upper Room LPC is providing an Experiential Prayer Room with various prayer stations to draw upon the different senses in the way we experience God. Through this style of engaging prayer, participants will take an active role in their communion, connection, and encounter with God. The base scripture for the prayer room is Matthew 11: 28-30 which reminds us that God calls us to cast—not carry—our burdens onto God as they are not ours to bear.
