The Upper Room is often blessed to have dedicated and talented interns who spend a summer or school semester working in various areas of our ministry. In the summer of 2015, we have had six interns, and we want to publicly say “thank you” to each of them for the work and energy they each brought to our Nashville, Tennessee offices.
Today, we celebrate and thank Mia Coward!
Mia Coward is a recent graduate of Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She has a BA in Journalism and Media Studies and dreams of writing children’s books to make a positive impact on the child literacy rate. She was the Senior Class President, Student Activities Club member, and a Resident Assistant while at Bennett. During her internship at The Upper Room, Mia spent six weeks rotating through different work areas. She has promoted SOULfeast, produced a video with the book marketing team, participated in The Upper Room daily devotional guide copy session, edited articles for Pockets and devozine, posted social media, and helped with one of our newest ministries, Moyo. She leaves us Friday for another internship with the Congressional Black Caucus, near her home in District Heights, Maryland.
THANK YOU MIA!
Coming soon: more summer intern features.
