Ratna Chapagain, editor of the Nepali edition of The Upper Room daily devotional guide, requests prayer in the aftermath of the massive April 25 earthquake.
When Dale Rust Waymack, Director of International Ministries of The Upper Room, heard the news of Saturday’s massive earthquake in the tiny country, she quickly emailed Ratna, who leads the small team that translates and distributes the Nepali language edition of The Upper Room daily devotional guide.
“At this saddest hour, I thank you for remembering me and our country in prayer,” Ratna replied. While confirming he and his family survived, Ratna added, “Pray for my friends.”
“Prayer is at the center of what we do,” says Publisher and World Editor Sarah Wilke. “And The Upper Room, where the world meets to pray, asks you to join us in prayer for Ratna, for his friends, for our publishing partners, for all of Nepal.”
