In order to improve communications between the international Emmaus office and millions of participants around the world in 600+ communities—including The Walk to Emmaus, the largest of The Upper Room program ministries—Emmaus staff send regular news and notes to Emmaus leaders and encourage them to share the information with their networks of pilgrims.
The communication piece, called “Five Ways to Strengthen Your Emmaus Community” is intended for participants and leaders in all of the Emmaus-tradition ministries, including The Walk to Emmaus, Chrysalis, Face to Face, and the newly emerging Journey to the Table.
“Why just five?” We want these communication pieces to be short, simple, easy-to-share, and READ by all.
If you are interested or involved in any of the Emmaus-tradition program ministries, please read and SHARE the July 2015 Five Ways news listed below.Help us share stories and news with our growing, worldwide network of fellow pilgrims and butterflies!
HOPE and Dream With Us. Click to watch the short video below about how we are hoping and dreaming with YOU in mind.
For most of us, Walk to Emmaus program ministries are mountaintop experiences that we want to hold on to longer than three days. How do we sustain that excitement and take it back into our daily lives?
In this catalog, Upper Room Books presents resources available to support you in your Fourth Day. The resources are organized around the 15 talks you hear during your Weekend or Encounter. Our goal is to help you renew your commitment and to support your Christian walk with books that encourage prayer, study, and Christian action.

Reach More Young Adults
Throughout the remainder of 2015, we will test a new program in the Emmaus tradition for 18 to 35 year olds—Journey to the Table. We expect this new offering to be available to all communities in 2016. We ask you to pray with us, and to invite your communities to pray for these test sites and for the launch of this exciting new ministry.

Face to Face Encounters begin across the country this August! Support these Encounters, which are an experience of God’s grace and agape love rooted in the Emmaus tradition but specifically crafted to meet the needs of older adults, by presenting agape from around the world. Please invite your communities to send an agape greeting, as well as to be in prayer for these upcoming Face to Face Encounters. (Click the blue text to see a list of the upcoming Encounters.) When crafting your community agape, keep in mind that Face to Face is a co-ed experience and referred to as an Encounter.
Thank you for supporting our sisters and brothers in the Love of Christ!
