The Face to Face Emmaus community of San Diego continues to flourish with reports of growing numbers of participants for each Face to Face Encounter and testimonies speaking of the comfort and ease felt throughout the entire program.
Now planning their third Face to Face Encounter, the local San Diego team hopes to host at least two Encounters each year. The team also reports that older team members and previously active team members are more ready and able to serve due to not having to spend the night, one of the things that differentiates Face to Face from Walk to Emmaus and why Face to Face is perfect for adults ages 60 and older.
“Table conversations are deep and meaningful,” said one Face to Face participant.
Another said, “It rekindled a fire which I thought had burnt out.”
Face to Face is an experience in the tradition of The Walk to Emmaus designed for persons 60 and older. Open to Christians of all denominations who want to strengthen their spiritual lives, Face to Face allows the opportunity to rediscover Christ’s presence, gain fresh understanding of God’s transforming grace, and form friendships that foster faith and spiritual maturity.
